Mayors for Peace Internship

Since 2014, Mayors for Peace has been implementing the Mayors for Peace Internship Program in which we invite young officials from member cities to the City of Hiroshima. This program is aimed to strengthen collaboration with member cities by having participants understand the Mayors for Peace initiatives more. It is also hoped that deepening their understanding of the realities of the atomic bombings and sharing in Hiroshima’s wish for peace will motivate them to promote initiatives toward the realization of lasting world peace in their home cities after the completion of this program.
