Mayors for Peace France at the 2025 Fête de l’Humanité

September 2025[Mayors for Peace France]

Report by Ms. Lorena Schlicht, Mayors for Peace France (AFCDRP)

From September 12 to 14, 2025, Mayors for Peace France and the Mouvement de la Paix took part in the Fête de l’Humanité, held at the former Air Base 217 in Brétigny-sur-Orge/Le Plessis-Pâté. Throughout the weekend, visitors gathered at our stand on Rue Margaret Sanger to take part in a series of engaging roundtables dedicated to peace, art, technology, and municipal action.

We were honored to welcome elected officials from our network, including Fatiha Alaudat (Councillor for culture of peace at Malakoff), Pierre Bell-Lloch (Mayor of Vitry-sur-Seine), and Olivier Sarrabeyrouse (Mayor of Noisy-le-Sec), who shared inspiring perspectives on the role of local governments in promoting peace.

The event also featured a convivial “Lunch for Peace” on Saturday, offering participants a moment of exchange and solidarity.

Our sincere thanks go to everyone who joined us, contributed to the discussions, and helped strengthen the collective momentum for peace.
