Report by Ms. Lorena Schlicht, Mayors for Peace France (AFCDRP)
From September 19 to 24, the city of Grigny celebrated peace through a series of cultural and artistic events that brought together residents, young people, and witnesses from around the world. This dedicated week offered a meaningful opportunity to share and promote the values of justice, fraternity, memory, and civic engagement.
The program included debates, testimonies, a “Peace Aperitif,” a walking parade, concerts, a lantern night, and the awarding of the Young Writer and Young Illustrator prizes.
These moments of reflection and togetherness reminded everyone that peace is something we build — and nurture — every day, together.
