Commemoration of the 71st Anniversary of the Marzabotto Massacre

The City of Halabja marked the 71st anniversary of the Marzabotto massacre in Italy. The Marzabotto massacre was a mass murder of some 770 civilians by the Nazis, which was taken place in Marzabotto, Italy during the World War II, between September 29 and October 5, 1944. During the commemorative event in Halabja, participants including Mayor Khder Kareem, other city officials and students lined up holding messages such as “The People of Halabja will Never Forget the Marzabotto Victims,” “Yes for peace,” “No for weapons of mass destruction,” and “Yes for children’s rights.”
