On May 9th, the City of Sarajevo marked the 70th anniversary of victory over fascism and Europe Day, paying tribute by laying flowers at the memorial of Eternal Flame and organizing a ceremonial concert by the Sarajevo Philharmonic Orchestra in the City Hall. During these commemorative events, the city was reminded about and paid respects to the victims of the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
