On August 9, 2014, the city of Halabja commemorated the 69th anniversary of Hiroshima and Nagasaki atomic bombardments in Halabja monument, many people including Halabja chemical victims, survivors and officials participated in the ceremony and laid flowers on the symbol of Hiroshima.
