Nagasaki-donated exhibition is now on a tour across the UK

Reported on March 4 [Manchester, United Kingdom]

Nagasaki-donated exhibition is now on a tour of NFLA members across the British Isles. It was held in Dundee in February 2011 (photo). It is now (early March) in Clydebank where it is part of a wider exhibition coinciding with the 70th anniversary of the bombing of Clydebank in 1941. Clydebank is close to Glasgow and is the site of some large shipyards, which were targeted by the German Airforce – the bombing led to a large amount of civilian casualties. In April the exhibition is then transferring to Ireland where it will be hosted in Newry (flyer) and then Dundalk. Later in the year it is planned to go to Edinburgh and the Scottish Parliament, Lerwick in the Shetland Islands, Rotherham and Oxford.

Nagasaki’s twin city Aberdeen is looking to host the exhibition in ajoint approach from the City Council and the Aberdeen Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament (CND). They are looking to host it for 6 weeks at 2 venues, probably in October.
