Children’s Art Exhibition “Peaceful Towns” at the UN Headquarters, New York

In order to provide children in member cities around the world with opportunities to think about the importance of peace and to foster their peace-seeking spirit, Mayors for Peace hosts an annual children’s art competition inviting children from 6 to 15 years old who live in Mayors for Peace member cities to submit artworks on the theme of “Peaceful Towns.”

As part of the initiatives marking the 80th anniversary of the atomic bombings, we are holding the Children’s Art Exhibition “Peaceful Towns” at the United Nations Headquarters in New York City, USA, with the aim of spreading the activities of Mayors for Peace to more people and reaffirming the importance of peace education.
