Participants attending the meeting to strengthen the foundation for Mayors for Peace management
In July 2012, a meeting to strengthen the foundation for Mayors for Peace management was held in Frogn, Norway following the meetings in Hannover, Germany in January 2012 and in Vienna, Austria in May 2012.

Working-level staff of the Mayors for Peace member cities(7 cities in 7 countries)
4. Contents
The participants confirmed that all member cities will be asked to affirm their support for Mayors for Peace by paying a nominal membership fee while the Cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki continue to bear most of the operating costs. It was also confirmed that Hiroshima will recruit lead cities to form local chapters to promote independent regional activities.
5. Future developments
The proposals will be sent to the Executive Members and, if approved, will go to the General Conference in Hiroshima in August 2013.
