Mr. Martinez, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure of the Republic of Nicaragua in Central America, has made a book of registration forms for Mayors for Peace for all 153 Nicaraguan cities and handed it to the Japanese Ambassador to Nicaragua. The book of registration forms arrived at Hiroshima City through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on March 4th, 2010. As of April 1st, the total number of memberships for the Republic of Nicaragua accounts of 155 (153 cities, 1 prefecture and 1 administrative district). Having all of the cities in a country join Mayors for Peace is a world’s first.
Mayors for Peace will do everything in our power to abolish all nuclear weapons by 2020 by spreading such movements across the world.
