Report from Ms. Laura Monti, City of Cotignola, Italy

On May 16, 2026, the City of Cotignola held a wonderful race called “VAP,” which stands for “vehicles without engines.”

In this event, young students build their own cars and compete in races with students from various parts of Europe, including France, Turkey, and the Czech Republic.

This year, during the race, the city decided to exhibit artworks created by students for the “Peaceful Towns for Children” Art Competition organized by Mayors for Peace last year, in order to promote peace and cooperation, especially on this special occasion celebrating Europe Day.

Through this event, the City of Cotignola hopes that people will appreciate its activities and efforts to spread the values of friendship and unity among young people.
