The Mayor of Hiroshima delivered a lecture at Daito Bunka University
On Thursday, November 25th, 2010, 500 students at Daito Bunka University gathered to listen to a lecture on "Love behind the A-bomb experience" delivered by Mayor Akiba. This lecture was a part of a course titled "Look into yourself and humanity
In the lecture, the mayor talked about hibakusha with familial love and how they lived their lives. He emphasized the importance of conveying hibakusha’s message, "No one else should ever suffer as we did", and keeping in mind the fundamentals of love that the hibakusha never lost as human beings, even though they experienced an unimaginable life. Students solemnly listened to the lecture.
