Hiroshima Peace Study Field Trip of National Taichung University of Science and Technology (Taiwan) 2024
On July 3 (Wed), students in the Department of Japanese Studies at National Taichung University of Science and Technology (Taiwan) learned about peace in Hiroshima as the Hiroshima-Nagasaki Peace Study Course. They visited the Peace Memorial Museum, the National Peace Memorial Hall for the Atomic Bomb Victims, and Peace Memorial Park. Also, they listened to the testimony of an atomic bomb survivor.This program is run as the university’s Hiroshima Peace Study Program, and it was the second trip since the program had been recognized as a Hiroshima-Nagasaki Peace Study Course in 2023.
The students worked on the peace studies seriously, asking questions and sharing their impressions with the survivor and volunteers who guided them around the park, thereby deepening their understanding of the realities of the atomic bombing.
