Hiroshima Peace Study Field Trip of Kyungpook National University 2020

18 students and 1 staff member from Kyungpook National University (South Korea) were recently in Hiroshima for the university’s Hiroshima Peace Study Program, which is run in accordance with their Memorandum of Understanding with Hiroshima City University. This was the second trip since the program was recognized as a Hiroshima-Nagasaki Peace Study Course in 2018.

As part of this, on January 21 (Tue.), the group visited the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum and Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park to understand the realities of the atomic bombing. While there, they listened to readings of accounts of the atomic bombing, and the testimony of an atomic bomb survivor, Mr. Lee Jongkeun.
