Hiroshima Field Studies of Minnesota State University Moorhead and International Christian University

Field trips by Minnesota State University Moorhead and International Christian University, Tokyo were held in Hiroshima from March 3, 2008. During their trip, they strengthened their awareness of the reality of the Atomic bombings through various activities including listening to an A-bomb survivor's testimony and visiting the Peace Memorial Museum. The following are outlines of the programs of each university.

1 Minnesota State University Moorhead Hiroshima Peace Studies Tour, Spring 2008

(1) Outline

Minnesota State University Moorhead is one of the seven state universities in Minnesota, has about 9,000 students and consists of four colleges including Arts & Humanities, Business & Industry, Education & Human Services and Social & Natural Sciences. This is the second field trip after the first implementation in 2006 with an aim of thinking about issues related to war and nuclear weapons through learning about the reality of the Atomic bombings on site in Hiroshima.

2 International Christian University (ICU) Hiroshima Seminar

This program is for the international students selected by the Rotary Foundation, which is headquartered in the US, and studying at mastral courses in ICU. This is the 6th field trip since its establishment in 2003.
