Hiroshima Peace Study Field Trip of Tokyo University of Foreign Studies (Japan) 2023
From June 2 (Fri) to 4 (Sun), students and staff members from Tokyo University of Foreign Studies learned about peace in Hiroshima as part of the Hiroshima-Nagasaki Peace Study Course.
They joined Atomic Bomb Memoir Readings and listened to talk by an Atomic Bomb Legacy Successor, and then they actively exchanged their opinions about how to ‘‘convey’’ Atomic Bomb survivors’ experiences with the readers and the successor. Also, they took a guided tour in Peace Memorial Park and visited the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum as well as the National Peace Memorial Hall for the Atomic Bomb Victims. They were trying to deepen their consideration by having discussions about what kind of meanings the Atomic Bomb exhibits and monuments there include.
