Hiroshima Field Studies of Minnesota State University Moorhead
13 students from Minnesota State University Moorhead in the USA visited Hiroshima from Monday March 15th to Wednesday March 17th. This is the third time the university has sent students to Hiroshima.
They learned about the reality of the atomic bombings through various activities including a visit to the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum, other peace-related facilities, viewing monuments in the Peace Memorial Park, listening to the testimony of an A-bomb survivor and having discussions with researchers at the Hiroshima Peace Institute.
This time, at their request, they visited and engaged in cultural exchange with students at Takatorikita Junior High school, and also had a discussion about the atomic bombings with Hiroshima college students.
