The mayor of Hiroshima delivers a speech at a Hiroshima-Nagasaki course in Kwansei Gakuin University
On May 20, 2008, Mayor Akiba of Hiroshima delivered a speech titled "The path to a peaceful world, free from nuclear weapons: The 21st century-people solving their own problems", at Kwansei Gakuin University, which has a long established Hiroshima-Nagasaki peace study course. About 150 students attended the lecture. 。
Mayor Akiba introduced the reality of the atomic bombings and the message of A-bomb survivors, stressed the importance of efforts by citizens and cities toward the total elimination of nuclear weapons, and the significance of actions based on the ideas of what you can do for the human family in the future.
