Attending the "World Peace Forum" and the 2nd UCLG（United Cities and Local Governments）World Congress(1) World Peace Forum
President Akiba attended the "World Peace Forum"（Organizer：AFS） held in New York. Transmitting the reality of the A-bomb and the message of the survivors, he asked for the endorsement and support for the "2020 Vision" campaign of Mayors for Peace (2) 2nd UCLG（United Cities and Local Governments）World Congress President Akiba attended the "World Congress of United Cities and Local Governments", a meeting of self-Governing Province of Jeju, South Korea. He referred to the emergence of internaional opinions towards the abolition of nuclear weapons and as a result of the appeal to endorse and support the actions of Mayors for Peace, received a support resolution for the "Cities are Not Targets（CANT）Project" directed by Mayors for Peace |

| October 27th President Akiba participated in the roundtable at the "World Peace Forum" which was organized by AFS who works for the realization of world peace through intercultural exchange. October 30th President Akiba attended the "World Congress of United Citites and Local Governments". At the plenary session he conveyed the reality of the damages caused by the A-bombs, appealed for the importance of city diplomacy directed towards the abolition of nuclear weapons and asked for the support and cooperation for the activities of Mayors for Peace |
