6/1982 At the 2nd UN Special Session on Disarmament held at UN Headquarters in New York, Mayor of Hiroshima proposed the Solidarity of Cities toward the Total Abolition of Nuclear Weapons
1/1983 Mayors of Hiroshima and Nagasaki issued first call to 72 cities in 23 countries
8/1985 General Conference of the 1st World Conference of Mayors for Peace through Inter-city Solidarity held in Hiroshima and Nagasaki, Japan (100 cities in 23 countries participated)
5/1987 The 1st Executive Conference of the World Conference of Mayors for Peace through Inter-city Solidarity held in Hannover, Germany
4/1988 The 2nd Executive Conference of the World Conference of Mayors for Peace through Inter-city Solidarity held in Como, Italy
