Activity chronology
Hiroshima and Nagasaki experienced nuclear weapons for the first time in human history. The cities were devastated in an instant, and many lives were lost. Among those who managed to survive, sufferings inflicted by the a-bomb radiation continue even today. In order to avoid such misery, the two cities have been appealing to the world to recognize the importance of peace.

In 1995, we launched the Hiroshima - Nagasaki Atomic Bomb Exhibition project to convey the realities of the atomic bombings and the present status of nuclear issues in the hope of arousing international sentiment towards nuclear weapons abolition. We have been holding the exhibition a few times a year mainly in nuclear nations, suspected nuclear nations, and cities active in nuclear abolition campaigns.

We could not continue this project without the cooperations of cities, NGOs, universities, and other organizations that share with Hiroshima and Nagasaki the pursuit of peace. Please join us in organizing the exhibition and appealing to the citizens of the world for the realization of a peaceful world without nuclear weapons.
